Biography
Pianist, composer, arranger and recording artist, Greg Bowers discovered his talent for playing piano at age four. Encouraged by his parents, both performing artists, he studied classical piano at the Wasson Piano Institute and won awards in classical competitions. Bowers studied jazz performance, arranging and composition with David Loeb, Director of Jazz Studies, UNLV; Frank Pazulo, Professor of Jazz Studies, Ball State; Frank Vincent, College Conservatory of Music, UC, and Grammy award winner Bill Cunliffe.
Bowers began his performance career touring with rhythm and blues and contemporary jazz bands. He crafted a soulful, expressive style, mastered a repertoire of many genres, and gained notoriety as a dynamic, cutting edge artist and performer. He formed his own trio and headlined at prominent venues throughout the US and Europe. Worldwide, as a soloist and with his ensembles, Greg Bowers has performed more than one thousand concerts and events, including many events hosted by major corporations and world-renowned celebrities.
As a soloist, Bowers recorded “Alone Together”, a twelve-song album for Yamaha Music. His trio recorded “Bye Bye Blackbird”, a nine-song album. Both albums feature jazz and Brazilian standards, Alone Together includes two jazz arrangements of Broadway songs. Bowers recently released three contemporary jazz compositions on a new album that is underway titled “Clear Skies”.
Pianists who have most influenced his style are Keith Jarrett, Oscar Peterson, Herbie Hancock, Chic Corea, Jeff Lorber, Gene Harris, Bill Evans, McCoy Tyner, Ahmad Jamal, Red Garland, and Hank Jones.

Conventions, Arenas Greg and his trio performed corporate events and conventions hosted in some of the largest event centers in the world, including MGM Grand Garden Arena with 13,000 seats, Mandalay Bay Convention Center featuring the largest free standing ballroom in North America, Venetian Convention Center / Sands Expo, MGM Conference Center, Las Vegas Convention Center and Smith Center.
MGM Mansion The Mansion is a unique luxury suite and event venue within the MGM Grand exclusively for invited guests of MGM Entertainment. During 20 years as pianist for the Mansion, Greg and his trio performed hundreds of events, many hosted by celebrities in entertainment, sports, business and politics.
Bellagio Greg performed a resident engagement in Bellagio’s Baccarat Bar with his duo, Petrossian Lounge as a soloist, and events hosted in Bellagio including G2E Global Gaming Expo, CB Richard Ellis and International Game Technology.
Four Seasons Greg performed a resident engagement, many Acacia Ballroom and poolside wedding events, and corporate events hosted in Four Seasons including Nationwide Insurance and Consumer Electronics.
Caesars Palace Greg’s first public venue resident engagement in Las Vegas, with his trio in the Terrazza Lounge, duo in Café Lago, and as a soloist in the Galleria. Greg performed events hosted in Caesars Palace including State Farm Insurance, Sapporo USA and Wyndham Jade.
Wynn Greg performed a resident engagement in Steve Wynn’s VIP Lounge, and events hosted in Wynn including Eurocopter in Tryst Nightclub, IMEX America and MinExpo.
Tres Jazz Greg’s quartet performed a resident engagement in one of the few high-end jazz clubs in Las Vegas, Black Entertainment Television’s Tres Jazz Club in the Paris / Bally’s passage.
Greg and his ensembles performed events hosted in exclusive Las Vegas and international clubs including the London Club, Foundation Room, Las Vegas Country Club, Red Rock Country Club, Playboy Club, Bali Hai Golf Club, Spanish Trails Country Club and Rio Secco Golf Club.
